Am Taking INEC And APC To Court - DTHA Apirant

ABUJA—An All Progressives Congress, APC, aspirant to the Isoko North constituency in Delta State House of Assembly, Goddy Edewor, has threatened to sue his party, and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, over alleged substitution of his name.

Edewor stormed Abuja, armed with the result sheet for the APC primaries for the state House of Assembly, which indicated that he polled 171 votes to emerge winner after defeating other contestants, Dr. Andrews Elueni and Kome Felix, who scored 165 and six votes respectively.
He said he was dumbfounded upon discovery that his name was conspicuously missing from the list of candidates released by INEC.
Edewor, who expressed shock at the development, said he has no option than to seek redress in a competent court of law to recover the mandate given to him by the delegates at the December 2, 2014 primary election.
He, however, appealed to the national leadership of APC to intervene and return him as winner of the primaries, alleging a conspiracy among some highly placed members of the Isoko North, Delta State chapter of the party to deprive him of his victory.
